This document specifies two methods for the determination of total organic carbon (TOC) in sludge, treated biowaste, soil and waste samples containing more than 0,1 % carbon in relation to the dry matter (dm). This document is validated for sludge, biowaste, soil, and waste (see also Annex A for the results of the validation).

Specifies a method for the determination of the total carbon content in soil after dry combustion. The organic carbon content is calculated from this content after correcting for carbonates present in the sample. If carbonates are removed beforehand, the organic carbon content is measured directly. Applicable to all types of air-dried soil samples.

This document specifies the measurement method for the determination of total activity concentration of uranium isotopes in non-saline waters by extraction and liquid scintillation counting. This method covers the measurement of soluble uranium isotopes in water in activity concentrations between approximately 2·10-3 Bq/kg and 10 Bq/kg when analysing a 1 l test sample volume with a 60 000 s counting time with a typical alpha LSC instrument. The ratio 234U/238U can also be determined. This method has not been tested for the measurement of other uranium isotopes.

This document specifies a chronic test method for evaluating the habitat function of soils and determining effects of soil contaminants and substances on the reproduction of Hypoaspis (Gaeolaelaps) aculeifer. This method is applicable to soils and soil materials of unknown quality, e.g. from contaminated sites, amended soils, soils after remediation, industrial, agricultural or other sites under concern and waste materials (e.g. dredged material, municipal sludge from a wastewater treatment plant, composed material, or manure, especially those for possible land disposal). This document provides information on how to use this method for testing samples (soils or substances) under temperate conditions. This document is not applicable to substances for which the air/soil partition coefficient is greater than one, or to substances with vapour pressure exceeding 300 Pa at 25 °C. NOTE The stability of the test substance cannot be ensured over the test period. No provision is made in the test method for monitoring the persistence of the substance under test.

The reproduction (= number of juveniles) is the measured parameter of the test. The test reflects the bioavailability of a mixture of contaminants in natural soils (contaminated site soils) to a species which represents a trophic level which is not covered by other ISO standards. This test is not intended to replace the earthworm (see ISO 11268-2) or Collembola (see ISO 11267) reproduction tests since this species belongs not only to a different trophic group but also a different taxonomic group (= mites; i.e. arachnids) than those used usually. Effects of substances are assessed using a standard soil, preferably a defined artificial soil substrate. For contaminated soils, the effects are determined in the soil to be tested and in a control soil. Depending on the objective of the study, the control and dilution substrate (dilution series of contaminated soil) are either an uncontaminated soil comparable to the soil to be tested (reference soil) or a standard soil (e.g. artificial soil). This document provides information on how to use this method for testing samples (soils or substances) under temperate conditions. This document is not applicable to substances for which the air/soil partition coefficient is greater than one, or to substances with vapour pressure exceeding 300 Pa at 25 °C. This document outlines methods for measuring the strain distribution for randomly oriented chopped strand- or fibre-reinforced plastic composites, based upon the general principles given in ISO 527-4. The methods are used to statistically evaluate the inherent variation of strain-based properties. The main purpose of this document compared to existing standards is to evaluate the strain distribution due to the random orientation of chopped fibres, while ISO 527-4 is sufficient for evaluating only the bulk elastic modulus. This standard provides two methods for evaluating an inherent strain distribution of the material, Method A as using DIC analysis system and Method B as using several strain gauges with a short gauge length. The methods are suitable for use with fibre-reinforced thermosetting and thermoplastic composites incorporating discontinuous or chopped reinforcements such as mats, chopped strands or tapes, long-fibre injection or combination of such reinforcements. The methods are not normally suitable for continuous fibre-reinforced materials which generate homogeneous strain distribution on the surface of the test specimen.

This part of ISO 14644 specifies the minimum requirements for the design, construction, installation, test and setting to work of separative devices, in those respects where they differ from cleanrooms as described in ISO 14644-4. It is intended to be complimentary to the requirements of other national and international standards and guidelines for separative devices as listed below. This part includes devices providing segregation using either physical or aerodynamic separation for the purposes of preventing the ingress of contaminants to the device or preventing the egress of contaminants from the device. It provides design, testing and operational parameters to distinguish between devices with different purposes and performance characteristics. Separative devices covered by this section addresses: — Unidirectional Airflow Devices — Material Handling Booths — Restricted Access Barrier Systems (with or without access devices) — Isolators (open or closed isolators, with or without transfer devices) — Transfer Containers — Biological Safety Cabinets Class II and III — Gloveboxes — Pass-Through Boxes or Transfer Hatches — Minienvironments Refer to Annex A for further information on the above devices. This part of ISO 14644 excludes: — Devices designed solely for containment, not associated with cleanrooms or clean zones. — Environmental health or safety requirements which might drive the need for containment. — Application-specific requirements — Specific processes to be accommodated in the separative-device installation. — Fire, safety and other regulatory matters, specifically where appropriate national and local regulations apply.

ISO 14644-7:2004 specifies the minimum requirements for the design, construction, installation, test and approval of separative devices, in those respects where they differ from cleanrooms as described in ISO 14644-4 and 14644-5. The application of ISO 14644-7:2004 takes into account the following limitations: user requirements are as agreed by customer and supplier; application-specific requirements are not addressed; specific processes to be accommodated in the separative-device installation are not specified; fire, safety and other regulatory matters are not considered specifically; where appropriate, national and local regulations apply. ISO 14644-7:2004 is not applicable to full-suits.

The objective of this document is to provide an automated driving freight vehicle fleet operation information collecting service function or application for non-enforcement applications [and sometimes for regulated application services (RAS)]. This is intended for the safe and sustainable road transport management purposes of regulated commercial freight vehicle movements using automated vehicle monitoring system. This document is intended to reinforce vehicle efficient and safe operation for non-enforcement and other purposes by collecting automated driving fleet operation information of heavy vehicles. Collected information can also be used for other purposes such as road usage fee collection, and fleet management purposes which are outside of this document. This document covers only on automated driving operation status monitoring applications. The information exchange with other entities such as road usage fee payment purpose is outside of this document. This document defines the framework for automated driving fleet operation status information collecting for non-enforcement and the conceptual operation of the management purpose applications.

This document defines protocols and message sets between traffic detectors and traffic signal controllers. It is applicable to the various types of traffic detector technologies currently in use for real-time traffic signal controls. The scope of this International Standard is limited to parameter generation to be used for traffic signal control and for the interface between traffic signal controllers and detectors. This document defines message sets that contain data collection and control protocol for three different types of detectors of traffic signal control systems: — detectors that deal with occupancy information; — detectors that deal with image information; — detectors that deal with vehicle identification. The scope of this document does not include the following cases: — interfaces between sensors [including tag or on-board units (OBU)] and detector controllers; — interfaces between traffic signal controllers and centres; — when signal controllers only relay data from field-side detectors to central computers; — when signal controllers receive unencoded electrical signals from cable-connected detectors and not data from detectors. Physical scope is limited to the communication interface between traffic signal controllers and traffic detectors. The scope does not include the interface between the traffic detector and its own controller. This document is limited to the definition of the message sets used to exchange detector information relevant for traffic control and the logical rules governing the exchange of these messages.

This document specifies measurement method of strain distribution for randomly oriented chopped strand- or fibre- reinforced plastic composites, based upon the general principles given in ISO 527-4. The methods are used to evaluate the inherent dispersion of strain properties and investigate the in-plane statistical material properties of the test specimens. The main purpose distinguished from the existing standards is to understand strain distribution due to randomly orientation of chopped fibre, while ISO 527-4 is sufficient for evaluating only the macroscopic elastic modulus.

This document describes the key actors in the eCall chain of service provision in hybrid circuit switched/packet switched network environments as: 1) In-Vehicle System (IVS)/vehicle, 2) Mobile Network Operator (MNO), 3) Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), and to provide conformance tests for actor groups 1) – 3). NOTE 1 Conformance tests are not appropriate nor required for vehicle occupants, although they are the recipient of the service. NOTE 2 Third party eCall systems (TPS-eCall) are not within the scope of this deliverable. This is because the core TPS-eCall standard (EN 16102) does not specify the communications link between the vehicle and the TPS service provider. NOTE 3 These conformance tests are partly based on the appropriate conformance tests from EN 16454 and CEN/prEN 17240. This deliverable therefore adapts and revises Conformance Test Protocols (CTP) from EN 16454 and CEN/prEN 17240 for hybrid circuit switched/packet switched network environments. This document complements EN 16454 and CEN/prEN 17240 and provides a suite of conformance tests for IVS equipment, MNOs and PSAPs, required to ensure and demonstrate compliance with CEN/prEN 17905. The scope covers conformance testing of new engineering developments, products and systems, and does not imply testing associated with individual installations in vehicles or locations.

This document specifies the dimensions, the method of sampling, the preparation of the test specimens and the conditions for performing the tensile creep test perpendicular to the weld in order to determine the longterm tensile welding factor. A tensile creep test may be used in conjunction with other tests (e.g. bend test, tensile test, macrographic examination, …) to assess the performance of welded assemblies made from thermoplastics materials. The test is applicable to welded assemblies made from thermoplastics materials, filled or unfilled such as tubes and fittings, sheets, plates and profiles, but not reinforced, irrespective of the welding process used.

This document specifies requirements and provides a framework for the digital transformation of Facility Management (FM). It defines the principles, processes and supporting elements for organizations to apply when planning, implementing and improving digitalization within FM. The purpose of this standard is to ensure that FM organizations can adopt digital practices in a consistent and effective manner that improves operational efficiency, enhances decision-making and strengthens resilience. The standard is written as a companion to EN ISO 41001 [5] Facility management — Management systems — Requirements with guidance for use and EN 15221-8 [2] Facility management — Principles and processes. Its role is not to duplicate the management system requirements of EN ISO 41001 [5] or the principles and processes of EN 15221-8 [2], but to provide the digitalization dimension that complements both. NOTE Annex B describes the relationship between this document and other standards. This standard applies broadly. It is relevant to: — organizations of any type, size, or sector engaged in FM; — both in-house FM functions and outsourced FM service providers; — all phases of FM service delivery and the asset life cycle. Certain elements are outside the scope of this document. General FM principles and processes are covered in EN 15221-8 [2], while the management system requirements for FM are addressed by EN ISO 41001 [5]. This document describes the objectives and procedures for the monitoring of wind turbine structures (Structural Health Monitoring - SHM). It provides guidelines and instructions for the general design of SHM systems for monitoring wind turbine structures and gives an overview of the objectives that can be pursued with SHM and their benefits, in accordance with the principles outlined in iso:proj:88268ISO 16079-1 . In contrast to methods from the field of machine monitoring (described in ISO 16079-2:2020 [1] ), which typically deal with the monitoring of rotating machine components, SHM is primarily used to monitor objects with load-bearing properties (foundation, tower and nacelle mainframe structures). Blade structural monitoring is outside the scope of this document.. This document provides instructions for dealing with the variety of methods and technologies appropriate to wind turbine structures, both on and off-shore. It describes the framework conditions for the efficient use of SHM and refers to possible economic and/or technical application limits. Basic strategies for action are presented and criteria for their optimal implementation are named, in relation to the objectives of SHM. The requirements for technical implementation in SHM systems are listed, depending on the SHM objective. The document also refers to the tasks of integrating monitoring measures into the ongoing construction or operating process of the load-bearing structures and provides information for their consideration in project and process management. Examples of the advantages that an SHM system can provide are: j) Early fault detection k) Condition following events l) Remaining service life m) Operational optimization n) Fleet monitoring o) operational safety; p) compliance approval (in individual cases); q) asset management, condition-based maintenance (CBM); r) design verification; s) service life extension; and t) risk-based inspection regimes (where permissible) This document includes the foundation, tower and nacelle structures of the wind turbine. The techniques described are applicable to any foundation type, subject to confirmation by the FMECA and FMSA processes. The effects of the blade motion and the aerodynamic forces on the tower are included, but structural assessment of the blades themselves is excluded. Blade condition monitoring is expected to form a future part of the ISO 16079 series of standards. Whilst the monitoring of Offshore Substations (OSS), or other similar ancillary constructions are not explicitly in scope, many of the methods described here are also applicable to SHM for such structures. Figure 1 shows the relationships between various Standards referred to in this document.

This document lays down safety criteria and inspection procedures for the regular use of wire sling ropes. NOTE 1 The specifications and testing of slings are specified in iso:proj:14308ISO 7531. NOTE 2 The use of wire rope slings is frequently covered by national regulations; these would take precedence over this document.
