In addition to the common requirements given in EN 15182 1, this document specifies the specific safety and performance requirements and the corresponding test methods, applicable to hand-held combination branchpipes (nozzles), with a nominal pressure of 16 bar (1,6 MPa) PN 16, with a maximum flow rate up to 1 000 l/min at a reference pressure of 6 bar (0,6 MPa).

NOTE 2 These branchpipes are not adapted when fighting fires in or near electrical installations when the spray jet angle is less than 30° without written authorization in the manual (safety distances included).

This document describes a gas chromatographic method for determination of 5 chlorophenols (2-chlorophenol; 2,4-dichlorophenol; 2,4,6-trichlorophenol; 2,3,4,6-tetrachlorophenol; pentachlorophenol) in water samples. This method uses a liquid/solid extraction method using immersive solid phase extraction equipment. After sampling, retained organic compounds are released by thermal desorption (TD) and automatically transferred to a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) system for analysis. NOTE 1 Other chlorophenols not specified in the scope can also be analysed if the performance specifications of this method can be met and the user validates the changes of the procedure accordingly. NOTE 2 The method detection limits (MDLs) of each chlorophenol measured by this method are shown in Annex B. This method is applicable to the determination of chlorophenols in surface water, ground water and drinking water. The applicability of the method to other types of water can be validated by the user separately for each individual case.

WD complying with the requirements of this document are not intended for cleaning and disinfection of medical devices, including endoscopic accessories, which are heat stable and can be disinfected or sterilized by thermal methods (see ISO 15883-1:2006+Amd 1:2014, 4.1.5). The specified performance requirements of this document do not ensure the inactivation or removal of the causative agent(s) (prion protein) of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies. NOTE 3 If it is considered that prion protein might be present, particular care is needed in the choice of cleaning agents and disinfectants to ensure that the chemicals used do not react with the prion protein and/or other protein in a manner that can inhibit its removal or inactivation from the load or washer-disinfector. NOTE 4 This document can be used by prospective purchasers and manufacturers as the basis of agreement on the specification of the WD, manufacturers of endoscopes, cleaning products, and disinfecting products.

This document specifies a method for the assessment of the surface resistance to microscratching and relates to rigid surfaces of all finished products, considering the following exceptions: - Method A is suitable for all types of surface coatings and coverings except for lacquers with pearly or metallic effects. - Method B is suitable for all types of surface. - No method applies to finishes on leather and fabrics.
