This document specifies the structural performance requirements of curtain walling under wind load, both its fixed and openable parts, under positive and negative static air pressure. This document applies to any curtain walling product as defined in EN 13830.

In this document, the pozzolanicity of a cement is assessed by comparing the concentration of calcium ion, expressed as calcium oxide, present in the aqueous solution in contact with the hydrated cement, after a fixed period of time, with the quantity of calcium ion capable of saturating a solution of the same alkalinity.

This document specifies a field method for the assessment of the surface density of various water-soluble salts on steel surfaces, before and/or after surface preparation, by conductometric determination. The individual surface densities of the salt composition like chlorides, sulphates, sodium, etc, cannot be determined by this method. This method assesses only contaminants that forms an electrolyte (ions) when in contact with water. These represent the greater part of the contaminants.

This document is a product specification, giving performance requirements for plumbed-in multiple nozzle emergency safety body showers which are permanently connected to a water supply and installed on industrial and logistic sites. Emergency safety body showers using fluid other than water are not considered in this document. This document also specifies requirements in respect of installation, adjustment and marking of the showers as well as operation and maintenance instructions to be given by the manufacturer. NOTE 1 Plumbed-in emergency safety body showers designed for laboratory facilities are dealt with in EN 15154-1. NOTE 2 Water overhead body showers for sites other than laboratories are dealt with in FprEN 15154-5. NOTE 3 Attention is drawn to national regulations which can apply in respect of the installation and use of emergency safety showers.

This document specifies a method of extracting, for analysis, acid soluble contaminants from a surface by use of flexible cells in the form of adhesive patches or sleeves which can be attached to any surface, regardless of its shape (flat or curved) and its orientation (facing in any direction, including downwards). The described method is suitable for use in the field to determine the presence of acid soluble contaminants before painting or a similar treatment. This document does not cover the subsequent analysis of the contaminants that have been dissolved off. Methods of analysis suitable for field use are described in other parts of ISO 8502 such as ISO 8502-5. This document is similar in procedure to, but not equal to, ISO 8502-6. The main difference is the solvent used and the subsequent analysis that can be performed on the extraction solution.

This document gives guidance for the enumeration and/or detection of microorganisms present in a cosmetic product that is impregnated or coated onto a substrate (i.e. wipes and masks) where sampling and microbiological influence of the manufactured product presents particular challenges in terms of microbiological sampling and testing. ISO 22118:2010 specifies minimum requirements of performance characteristics for the detection of nucleic acid sequences (DNA or RNA) by molecular methods. ISO 22118:2010 applies to the detection of food-borne pathogens in foodstuffs and isolates obtained from them using molecular detection methods based on the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). ISO 22118:2010 is also applicable, for example, to the detection of food-borne pathogens in environmental samples and in animal feeding stuffs.

This document provides guidance for sectoral stakeholders and product manufacturers in generating ICT product-relevant information based on EN 18037. Sectoral stakeholders are supported in applying the risk and cybersecurity assessment methodology so that the information needs of product manufacturers are covered by the sectoral assessment report. Product manufacturers receive guidance in using methodology according to EN 18037 for own assumptions of their ICT product’s sector-specific risks and security requirements. This document uses a step-by-step approach for guiding sectoral stakeholders and product manufacturers through the assessment. For each step, the relevant information provided by EN 18037 is summarized or referenced and the enhancements or clarifications in support of the information needs of the ICT product manufacturers are pointed out. From the perspective of product manufacturers, the re-use of existing product-specific specifications and certification tools is of particular relevance. Therefore, this document provides guidance how the results of sectoral assessments according to EN 18037 can be connected with these specifications and tools.

ISO 17234-2:2011 is supplementary to ISO 17234-1 and describes a special procedure to detect the use of certain azo colorants in commodities, which can release 4-aminoazobenzene. The procedure also detects 4-aminoazobenzene (Solvent Yellow 1) which is already available as free amine in commodities without reducing pretreatment. Azo colorants that are able to form 4-aminoazobenzene generate, under the conditions of ISO 17234-1, the amines aniline and 1,4-phenylenediamine. The presence of these 4-aminoazobenzene colorants cannot be reliably ascertained without additional information (e.g. the chemical structure of the colorant used) or without a special procedure.

This document applies to acetylene manifold systems extending from the cylinder valve or the bundle outlet connections to the outlet connection of the main shut-off valve. It specifies requirements for design, materials and testing of cylinder manifold systems for the supply of acetylene for use in welding, cutting and allied processes. This document applies to acetylene manifold systems in which one of the following acetylene sources is used or connected for collective gas withdrawal: — Single individual cylinder; — Multiple cylinders; — Single individual bundle; — Multiple bundles, When a single individual cylinder with cylinder regulator according to ISO 2503 is directly connected to the cylinder valve, this document does not apply. NOTE National regulations exist regarding limitation of the amount of single cylinders/bundles of acetylene on a single location (e.g. in warehouse or connected to a manifold system).

This document describes a test method for the determination of the fracture toughness of monolithic ceramic thin plates at room temperature by the single-edge precracked plate method or the single-edge V-notch plate method. This document is intended for use with monolithic ceramics and whisker- or particulate-reinforced ceramics which are regarded as macroscopically homogeneous. It does not include continuous-fibre-reinforced ceramics composites. This document is applicable to ceramic thin plates with a thickness of 0,2 mm to =1,0 mm. The single-edge V-notch plate method can be applied to monolithic ceramics with a grain size larger than about 1 µm. The use of this method is inappropriate for yttria tetragonal zirconia polycrystal material (Y-TZP), which consists of homogeneous fine submicron grains. The method might also be unsuitable for some other very tough or soft ceramics in which a sharp crack does not form at the root of the V-notch. This document is applicable for material development, material comparison, quality assurance, characterization, reliability and design data generation. The Scope clause is a mandatory element of the text. For rules on the drafting of the Scope, refer to the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2:2018, Clause 14.

This part of ISO 27327 establishes uniform methods for laboratory testing of air curtain units to determine aerodynamic performance in terms of airflow rate, outlet air velocity uniformity, power consumption and air velocity projection, for rating or guarantee purposes. This part of ISO 27327 is not applicable to the specification of test procedures to be used for design, production or field testing.
